Betty Lou Stringer, 73, died Aug. 14 in a Las Vegas convalescent hospital.
She was born May 23, 1925, in Orlando, Okla.
A retired file clerk for a credit reporting service, she was a nine-year resident of Las Vegas, a volunteer for Retired Seniors Volunteer Program and a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Nolan; and son, Robert Sr.; daughter, Karen Sue; sister, Louise Orr; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from noon until services at 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary-Downtown. Burial was at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
