Frances (Cole) Claburn Lovelace, age 77 of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
She was born July 1, 1938, in Chalybeate Springs, Alabama, to parents James and Bertha (Morris) Cole. Frances was devoted to her Baptist faith, having been a member of Ravenna Freewill Baptist Church and the Brady Lake Baptist Church. She had several interests and hobbies including crafting, quilting, sewing, and gardening.
Frances is survived by her children Marcia (Christopher) Tibbs of Newton Falls, Ohio and Arnold (Jan) Claburn Jr. of Ravenna, Ohio, Sam (Laura) Claburn of Ravenna, Ohio, her step-son: Jim (Joy) Lovelace of Ravenna, step-daughter, Joye LaLone of Michigan, and her siblings, Agnes Jones, Bud Cole, Price Cole, Spencer Cole, and Vinson Cole. Frances’ memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren, Lee (Meredith) Claburn, Ray Post Claburn, Lambranee Jacobs, Jay Stacy, Pete Williams, Mary Wood, Felicia Tibbs, Selena Tibbs, Steven Tibbs, Tommy Lovelace, Tyler Lovelace, Denver Jones, Tim Jones, and Derek Jones, as well as her 18 great-grandchildren, and her neighbors and "adopted family" Jan and Jeff Phelps and their children Tyler, Michelle, and Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 23 years Arnold Claburn Sr., her husband of 29 years Clayton Lovelace, her sister Billie Jean Lyle, and all of her half brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Elliott-Brown-Service Funeral Home, 15215 Court St., Moulton, AL 35650. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. Final resting place will be the Morris Chapel Cemetery in Hillsboro, Alabama.
