Ronald Ray Eads, SR. 77 passed from this life after a courageous battle with leukemia on January 9, 2020 surrounded by family. Born July 6, 1942 to Aaron Ray Eads and Mildred Marie Cazee–Eads in Smithville, IN.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, searching for ginseng, mushrooms or working in his garden. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville, IN.

He retired from Indiana University in 1988 and then went to work at Cook Inc. until his retirement in 2012 with 24 years of perfect attendance.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Linda Mae (Harding) Eads and daughters Ronita (Kevin) Walcott, Tammy Eads, Ronda (Richard) Johnson, Ronessa (Mike) Lenning all of Bloomington and Ronica (Jason) Walcott of Russellville, Arkansas. Siblings; Betty Sowders, James (Shirley) Eads, and David (Bonnie) Eads.
Ron has 27 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings, Debra Eads, Raymond Eads, Patsy Hawkins, and Leon Eads. Three children, Ronson Eads, Ronald Eads Jr., Rob Covey, Son-in-law Marty (Charlie) Lane Johnson and one grandchild Joy Renee Walcott.

Visitation will be from 12 pm until 2 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at The Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at The Funeral Chapel with Ron Hawkins and Jason Walcott Officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
