Many have incorrectly concluded, based on "The Churchill Family in America," that this was Hannah (Mansfield) Bartlett, widow of Elnathan Bartlett. John Churchill did have a second marriage with a "widow Hanna Bartlett" on 4 March 1715/16 (according Plymouth Vital Records) but his wife was not the widow of Elnathan Bartlett.
