BORN 5/02/1935. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Journalism. He was a well known newpaper man having worked on the Rockdale Reporter, Temple Telegram where he was managing editor of the Temple paper. He won numerous writing awards during his career. He died in a Galveston hospital after a lengthy illness caused by an unknown lung disease. His mother preceded him in death (8/8/1969) she was the long time managing editor of the Thorndale Champion. He was an avid sportsman and a member of the Temple Kiwanis Club.
