Paul Hamilton Riley, age 88, of Lapeer, formerly of Traverse City, died Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was born November 16, 1931 in Marlette, to Clifton and Gertrude (Johnson) Riley.

Paul married Kathleen Naomi Klinesmith on October 27, 1949 in Mayville. For many years he was a “Milkman” for Porritt Dairy, in the Lake Orion area. Mr. Riley would start his route very early, often his children would ride along, and he delivered milk directly to people’s homes. Mr. and Mrs. Riley also owned and operated Riley’s Dairybar in Mayville, the restaurant served hamburgers, pizza, ice cream, etc.. For many years, Paul owned and operated Riley Plumbing in the Lapeer Area. After retiring, Paul and Kathleen moved to Traverse City for 22 years…moving back to Lapeer about 8 years ago. Mr. Riley was an avid football and college basketball fan, especially March Madness! Paul and Kathleen loved traveling and had taken many trips throughout the United States, including Hawaii. They also traveled many times to Canada, where Paul often did a little fishing. He truly enjoyed both hunting and fishing. Paul spent much time hunting deer in the Lewiston area, even before they moved to Traverse City, and also traveled to Wyoming to hunt.

The Riley family would like to extend a special thank you to Residential Hospice for their kind and devoted care, especially Tyler.
