She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Alexander Hall and Helen Fetty Hall.
Gayle was a devoted member of Mt. Olivet Baptist church and worked for Hanover County for over 40 years at Henry Clay Elementary School. She enjoyed volunteering with Ashland Christian Emergency Services (ACES) and loved any and all crafts she could get her hands on.
Gayle is survived by her children, Julie, Jay, and Jan; grandchildren, Joel Wingfield and Alexis Gibson (M.J.); sisters, Linda Six (Leroy) and Janet Hale (Johnny), fur-baby, Willow; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 15583 Coatesville Rd. Beaverdam, VA 23015. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00pm and interment will take place in the church cemetery.
