Barbara Ellen Beard, wife of John D. Beard died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary A. Garber, near Liberty, Saturday night at 11 o'clock, aged 76 years, one month and twelve days. Death was due to complications. Mrs. Beard, who was the last surviving of her immediate family, is survived by her husband and the following children: Hiram W. Beard, North Dakota; John E. Beard, near Chestnut Grove; James C. Beard, near Daysville, Mrs. Mary A. Garber, near Liberty. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Funeral Tuesday morning leaving the house at 10 o'clock with services at Union Chapel. Rev. J. Frank Rife will officiate, assisted by Rev. George K. Ely. Interment adjoining cemetery. K. G. Putman, funeral director.
