Grace E. Lewis, 95, Topeka, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1994, at a Topeka nursing home.
She was born Nov. 6, 1898, at Hawkeye, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin Delos and Marilla Agnes Foreman Pitts. She lived in Topeka since 1931.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of First United Methodist Church and World War I Widows.
She was married to George F. Lewis in June 1924 in Kansas City, Mo. He died April 17, 1973.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Lewis Armstrong, Las Cruses, N.M.; a son, James H. Lewis, Topeka; a brother, Ralph Pitts, Granby, Mo.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Private burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lewis will lie in state from 8 a.m. today until service time Friday at the funeral home.
