Maria and Carlo had six children, Celestina, Francis, Rosa, Anthony, Theresa and Roberto. Celestina, Rosa and Roberto died as infants. Maria and Carlo lived in Detroit, MI from 1920 to 1927, in 1927 they returned to Carlo's home town of Vanzaghello where the family remained through WWII.
