She was the daughter of Howell Cobb Cone and Katharine Parker Cone and was the last born of seven children. The family relocated to Savannah in 1933 when her father was appointed Collector of Customs by President Franklin Roosevelt. She attended Armstrong Junior College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in English. She retired after many years of employment with the Savannah Speech and Hearing Center. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Savannah, GA. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 48 years, Charles Winchester Seyle, Sr.; brothers, Howell Cobb Cone, Jr., William Cone, Thomas Cone, and sisters, Sarah Katharine Bowen, Constance Cone and Frances Lambright. She is survived by her son, Charles W. (Stacy) Seyle, Jr., daughter, Laura (Richard) Gross; grandsons, Thomson (Brittany) Gross, Wilson Gross and Jacob Seyle; granddaughter, Emmaline Anna Gross; two great grandsons, Jonah Gross and Rowan Gross.
