She grew up in Coleraine and was a 1977 graduate of Greenway High School where she was a hockey cheerleader, competed on the ski team, and played saxophone in the band. She worked in accounting for several nationally recognized corporations including; Stratasys, A.K.W., Medtronics, Land O Lakes, Carlson Companies, Stein Industries, Eschelon Telecom, and Taco Bell Corporate in California. Rhonda moved from her hometown to discover herself, only to find that her missing piece and love of her life, George, would draw her back to Minnesota. They married on November 27, 2004 in in the Earl Brown Center in Brooklyn Center, MN. Rhonda’s eyes glimmered and her infectious smile couldn’t be contained. This was the beginning of the happiest chapter of her life. She enjoyed camping with “my” George and their dog SadieLu at the Eagle Cove Resort in Mora.
Her father, Wallace Volk and a brother, Stewart Frets preceded her in death.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, George; step-children: Nathan (Olive) Betz, Kristine (Mike) Schaan, Ryan Betz and Allison Betz; granddaughter, Margot; mother, Mitzi Seibert; siblings: Mary Kay Bass, Dan Volk, Bill (Michelle) Volk, Pam Volk, and Denise Olson; her father-in-law, Roger Betz; her brother-in-law, Dan Betz; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
