Father is believed to of been that of Jonas Whitlow Derr (slaveowner) and her mother was "Jane" Mary Jane Friday (slave). Ida married John Clark and had the following children with him: Thomas F. Clark, Georgia Anna Clark Chamblin, Maggie Belle Clark Miller, William L. Clark, James H. Clark, Mary Jane Clark Williams Holt, and Norman H. Clark. She also had one child with James Vester Miller, their child was Taft Clark. Death certificate claims she was buried in West Asheville, North Carolina. Potentially buried in Violet Hill Cemetery?
