Graveside services were to be held Tuesday for Desert Hot Springs resident Marie E.E. Preckwinkle, 71, who died Friday at her home. Mrs. Preckwinkle was a native of Illinois, She had been a California resident for 40 years, living in Desert Hot Springs for 29 years. She had been employed by the Palm Springs Unified School District. Mrs. Preckwinkle is survived by three sons, Stanley E. Preckwinkle of Cathedral City; John R. Preckwinkle and Timothy L. Preckwinkle, both of Desert Hot Springs; three brothers, Ollie C. Newbery and Robert Newberry, both of Desert Hot Springs and Stanley Newberry of Houston, Texas; one sister, Marjorie Parsons of Illinois; six grandchildren; and by 10 greatgrandchildren. Services wereat Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City. The Rev. Bill Welsh officiated. Desert Mortuary in Desert Hot Springs was in charge of arrangements.
