Ruth Llewellyn, 99, of Hector, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. The daughter of George and Naomi (Robertson) McAlister, she was born June 19, 1920 in Hector. She was a high school graduate of the Hector Public School. She married John David Llewellyn on July 4th, 1940 in Oklahoma. She worked as a cook with the Hector Public School. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and quilting and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John David Llewellyn; her parents; and 11 siblings.

Survivors include her son, George David Llewellyn; daughter, Sandra Turney; three grandchildren, Billy Joe Turney and wife Sherry, Jimmy T. Turney and wife Sara, and Margaret Turney, all of Hector; seven great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Hector Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Scott Garrison and Pastor Terry Latham will officiate. Pallbearers are Charlie Brown, Jake Coffman, Grace Coffman, Tyler Hays, Michael Newell, and Ethan Higgs. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector by Humphrey Funeral Service.
