Roy was born on June 14, 1907 in Evansville, WI to Olga Sophia Johnson. As a young boy, he was adopted while living in an orphanage in Sparta, WI by Louis & Mae (Shipley) Eifert and grew up on a farm in Montfort, WI.
Roy was custodian at Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation of Madison, retiring in 1972.
Roy is survived by his wife, Johanna, sons Louis, Terry and Larry and grandchildren Rebecca, Cameron and Marcy. He is also survived by his daughters Jeanne Eifert Hegerich, Phyllis Eifert, and grandson Troy Russell.
