Billy Eugene Bivins
December 20, 1940 - January 10, 2020

Bill was born in Norman Park, Georgia, on December 20, 1940 to the late Millard Brown Bivins and Era Kathleen Castleberry Bivins.

Bill served in the United States Army and its Reserves for six years, worked at Sam Duggan Chevrolet as manager of its body shop for eighteen years, and joined J. L. "Fussy" Blanton at Blanton's Auto Paint and Body Shop in 1975.

Mr. Blanton and Bill later incorporated the business, and Bill served as owner of Blanton's until his retirement in 2012.

He was an Honorary Colquitt County Deputy Sheriff and a member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie.

He loved the outdoors - fishing, hunting, and working in his yard - and always had a funny story to tell during fellowship over a meal.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 12, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, January 13, at First Baptist Church of Moultrie.

Reverends Wayne Woods and Hugh Ward will officiate, and Bill's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Graveside with military honors will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
