I. L. GRIFFIN
VALDOSTA, Ga., March 21.---Funeral services were held this afternoon for I. L Griffin, of Atlanta, whose death occurred at his home in that city yesterday morning following an illness dating from the first of last December.

Mr. Griffin was a native of Lowndes county, having been born at Old Troupville 79 years ago, being a cousin of J. N. Griffin of this city and a second cousin of Mrs. L. G. Hardman.

The deceased moved from Valdosta to Bryan county when he was about 3 years of age and remained there for a time, returning to Valdosta for another term of residence and then moving to Atlanta where he has since made his home.

For a number of years Mr. Griffin has been connected with the state labor department under Commissioner Hal Stanley, and was widely known over the state.

He is survived by three daughters and two sons, including Dana Griffin, of Dallas, Texas; Meredith Griffin, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Everette, of Atlanta; Mrs. N. K. Fry of Valdosta and another daughter.

The interment was at Sunset Hill cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him to the grave man years ago.
