Edna Merle Burgess, 86, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.
Merle was born Jan. 31, 1928, to Herbert Clarence and Bessie Landers Burgess in Azle. She attended North Texas University. Merle was very proud to have worked as a private secretary for various oil companies as far away as Tripoli, Libya, throughout her career, ultimately working for the Moncrief Oil Co. until her retirement.
Merle was preceded in death by nephew, John Adcock; niece, Brenda Burgess Smith; brother, Claude Burgess; and sister, Helen Adcock.
