Memorial services for Theadore ‘Ted’ Brockel, 84, Aberdeen, SD, are 2:00pm, Monday, January 13, 2020, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jeff Whillick officiating. Burial is at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Ted died Saturday, January 4, surrounded by family, at his home in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Sunday, with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
Theadore ‘Ted’ John Brockel was born on February 9, 1935, to Gottlieb and Carolyn (Klingman) Brockel in Mound City, SD.
On November 23, 1963, he married Donna Weber together they had three sons: Donald (Melanie), Robert (Vicki) and Billy; and two daughters, Tina and Tammy (Dan) Manz.
Ted worked various places including Mardians and, most recently, Jacob’s Construction where he finally retired at the age of 80.
He is survived by his children Donald, Robert, and Tammy. 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Jan) Brockel and JoRay (Linda) Brockel.
Preceding Ted in death his wife, Donna; children, Tina and Billy; granddaughter, Sandra; and brothers, Morgan, Glenn and his twin, Donald.
