Vica M. Hufford, 85, Topeka, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Jan. 18, 1909 in Elkland, Mo., the daughter of Edward Elbert and Laura Isabel Davison Gann. She spent her early life in Elkland, Mo., and moved to Springfield, Mo. in 1941. She moved to Nevada, Mo. in 1951, and to Osage City in 1952. She lived in Topeka since March 1953.
Mrs. Hufford was a cashier at Gage Bowl several years and later worked at Daylight Donuts before she retired in 1988.
She was a member of South Knollwood Baptist Church.
She was married to Edward A. Hufford Jan. 18, 1930, in Bolivar, Mo. He died Oct. 14, 1989.
Survivors include a son, James E. Hufford, Topeka; a daughter, Isabel T. Martin, Eskridge; a sister, Chloe Shaffer, Lebanon, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at South Knollwood Baprist Church. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hufford will lie in state after noon today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to South Knollwood Baprist Church, 1813 W. 29th, 66611.
