Jean was born in Buncombe County in 1930 to the late Claude Alphonso Auldredge and Octavia Estelle Auldredge. She spent her life supporting her husband with his photography business and raising their daughter, Donna, in Charlotte. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Hunter; daughter, Donna H. Franklin; siblings, Pauline A. Owenby, Frances A. Ball, Nanette A. Dowdle and Max B. Auldredge.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Marie F. Logan of Birmingham, AL; great grandsons, Cale M. Logan and Ford W. Logan; two sisters, Vivian A. Scott of Fletcher, and Virginia A. Tweed of Hendersonville.
Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 in West Memorial Park, 40 Roberts Street, Weaverville. Reverend Scott Lynch will officiate.
