MOBERLY MAN A FIRE VICTIM
W. A. Skinner, Who Left Here Several Years Ago, Burned to Death at Houston, Texas.
W. A. Skinner a man born and reared in Mobcrly but who left here several years ago was a victim of the fire which last week destroyed the Capitol hotel in Houston, Tex., it was learned today through the local police department. The police this morning received the following telegram: " "W. A. Skinner, news agent for Van Noy Interstate Co.. was burned to death in the Capitol hotel fire here December 18. Body is being held by Westheimer Undertaking Co. Have been informed Skinner hat relatives at or near Moberly and is well known your city. If possible locate relatives and advise." Mrs. G. W. Chilton of 335 North Williams street is the step-mother of Skinner and he also has a sister, Mrs. Monroe Williams and a brother, Mr. Chas. W. Skinner residing in Moberly. Mrs. M. P. Duncan, of near Fulton is a sister. Chief Mize telephoned to Mrs. Duncan and,the body of Skinner will probably be brought back to Moberly and buried beside his mother in Sugar Creek cemetery. Skinner was 31 years old. been working for the Van Noy system for some time.

Son of Charles W. Skinner and Elizabeth Haines. Notes - his grandmother Elizabeth Skinner is buried in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. His stepmother Mary Hancock Chilton is buried in Oakland Cemetery.
