Lillian "Billie" Bruce Owen Smith-Daniels HARMONY Lillian "Billie" Bruce Smith Daniels, 100, of Harmony, formally of Statesville, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at Rosewood Assisted Living of Harmony.
Billie was born May 17, 1919, the youngest daughter of the late Emma Pearl Reavis and Jesse Franklin Owen of Iredell County. In 1995, she was preceded in death by her second husband, George Edward Daniels who she married in 1988; her first husband, Eugene Moore Smith, of Statesville; stepdaughter Shirley Smith Webster; three sisters; and a brother.
To her friends and family, Billie had a wonderful sense of humor, and a spirit filled with love and laughter, and a commitment to her church. In years past she was affiliated with Stimpson Hosiery Mill and Belk Department store in Statesville.
Mrs. Daniels is survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; and a stepgrandson, John Bell of Surfside Beach, S.C. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 31, at Harmony United Methodist Church. Visitation was held at the church, at 1 p.m., prior to the service.
Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, with graveside services Memorials may be sent to Harmony United Methodist Church. Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville is honored to serve the family.
