Jones Lawton Boatwright, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Jacksonville. He was born in Arco, Georgia to the late Joe Lawton Boatwright and Edith O. Boatwright. He moved to Jacksonville with his parents in his early teens. Jones worked and retired from the City of Jacksonville after 20 years of service. He was a member of Boilermakers Local Union #199 and owned and operated Boatwright Trucking Company. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Sandra H. Boatwright, sons Jones Boatwright, III, Kerry (Suzanne) Boatwright, daughter Penny Barnhart, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services were held January 11, 2016 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, Florida. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, TOWN & COUNTRY funeral home was in charge or arrangements.
