He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Largent and his Mother Ochel Henderson. Jack lost his oldest son "Jackie", a sister, Joann, and two brothers, Jim and Denzel, before his own time ended. Their loss saddened his heart.
He leaves behind his beloved sister Jeanie, and two brothers, Ronnie and Skeeter. He has left also his two sons, William Largent ("Billy, put your hat on") and Che' Butler {"Big Time"} whom he loved so deeply. His beloved daughter "D.I. Darling Girl", Jacqueline Largent, whose smile made him smile. His granddaughter, "Little Riviera" {that had better put her shoes on}, loyal companion Weirdo...the dog everyone loved to hate, grandson Dustin (D. I. Oodle Doodle) and his great-grandson, "Karderator" {the Captain of the Black Pearl Monster} which always held special places in his heart.
The list of people Papa loved could go on and on...his "Kids"...and so many, many more...I think you all know who you are, and the memories you shared!
And then there is me, Patti Butler. The woman lucky enough to have spent the last 45 years singing (off key I might add) The Twelfth of Never by Johnny Mathis to this man. He endured it, now THAT is love.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Wade Park Veterans hospital for everything they did for Jack, in hopes to cure the Cancer within him.
Also the Compassionate Care Home Hospice team for all the kind, respectful service that was given to Jack and his family in their time of need, especially Jessica and Michael who went above and beyond their Call of Duty. You both were amazing.
And last, but not least, our Family friend Ceclia Rossi and the Hennessy Bagnoli Moore Funeral Home, who with Chi Chi's kindness and owner David Moore's professional and respectful help, in making the last arrangements for Jack's life, a comfortable, loving experience for our family.
Graveside service will be Friday, 12:30 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery by 12:15 pm.
