Relatives Think Joshua Bentley May Have Resumed "Sitting" Stunt.

Relatives of Joshua Bentley, Pasadena Park, are hopeful that the missing man has reverted to his unusual habit of "tree sitting and is still alive.

Bentley disappeared Tuesday, leaving his hat and coat by the river. He may have taken his life by drowning himself.

Relatives told Sheriff Miles yesterday that when he was at the asylum. Bentley had a habit of running away and sitting up in trees while the guards were hunting him. The search is still in progress.

IDENTIFY RIVER BODY

Joshua F. Bentley, 59, Traced to Stream by Dogs

The body of a man found Friday in the river in the rear of E 4003 Baldwin, was positively identified Saturday as that of Joshua F. Bentley, 59 (not Baldwin), the police reported. Bentley disappeared March 30 from Pasadena Park, and dogs traced his footsteps to the Millwood bridge. It was feared he was mentally unbalanced and leaped in the river.

Bentley, a retired farmer, leaves four sons, Leon, Milton and Calvin of Spokane, and Frank of Tacoma; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Hagen of Tacoma, and three brothers, James A. and S. S. Bentley of Spokane and John W. in Post Falls.

The body is at Hazen & Jaeger's, where funeral rites will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in West Greenwood.
