Donald was born in San Diego California, the first son of Donald and Pearl Hiney Keefer. The family left California in the 1930s and relocated to Ouray, Colorodo where they resided for a few years. The family then moved to New Jersey. Donald Married Mary Lou Lyons and started a family, living in Andover, New Jersey and later Montrose, Pennsylvania. In their later years Donald and Mary Lou resided in Whiting and Manchester New Jersey and finally in Neptune New Jersey.
Donald was predeceased by his wife Mary Lou Lyons Keefer who passed in 2005 and his sister, LoRaine. He is survived by his son Donald B Keefer, Jr., his daughter Donna Gioglio and her husbnad Tom: the love of his life, his grandson Matt Gioglio: his brother Gary Keefer and his wife Barbara; and his two sisters Joyce Wiard and her husband Jeck and Shirley McKeel and her husband Rich. Services were held privately via the Reilly Funeral Home Belmar N.J.
