Mrs Grace M. Carter
Mrs Grace M. Carter, 83 , 10251/2 Hays avenue, died Tues at 4:15 a.m. in Memorial hospital, being admitted Monday at 6:40 p.m.
Resident of Fremont 37 years, the deceased was born in Michigan May 23, 1878, daughter of George and Adele Stevens. She came to Fremont from Los Angeles, Calif., where she lived for a number of years. For many years, she was affiliated with the Carter-Christy Advertising Co.
Her husband, Charles S. Carter, to whom she was married 47 years, died in 1949.
Mrs. Carter was a member of the Toledo and Fremont Woman's club.
Surviving are a son , Marshall A., North Hollywood, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy C. Price, Youngstown; brother, Herbert H. Stevens, San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Donald l. Judson, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church will conduct services Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Keller and Son Funeral Home open only to relatives and close friends. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery, Glendale, Calif.
The family asks memorials be in the form of contributions to the building fund of St. Paul's church.
