Dirk was born in Amsterdam, Holland to Johan Diederich Tabeling and Rensje Evers. He emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts where he married on May 5, 1857 Catherine Crowley, a fellow immigrant from Ireland. They had 9 children and raised their family in South Boston. He died on March 24, 1917 at the age of 90.

Gravesite Details
Per the cemetery interment card, both Dirk and Catherine are buried here as well as a stillborn granddaughter, baby girl Cunniff, who died 6 Sep 1900.
