Paul Nathaniel Arnold
Paul Nathaniel Arnold, 85, went to be with his Lord on March 25, 2010. He was born in Trezvant, Tennessee, on June 10, 1924. Paul married Bonnie Mae Carraway on May 24, 1943. Shortly thereafter, he entered the U.S. Army during World War II, serving alongside his father, Paul Nathaniel Arnold.
Paul has been faithful in his service to his church where he presided as chairman of the deacon board and Sunday school teacher. Paul retired as superintendent of custodians at the Benton Harbor Michigan ISD. The Arnold's moved to Longview 20 years ago to be closer to their daughter, Dana Knoop and her family. In Longview, they have been faithful members of LCF Church after attending Mobberly Baptist Church for a few years.
Arnold is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bonnie; his daughter, Dana Knoop and husband, Don; his son, Steven Paul Arnold and wife Mary of Winter Haven, Florida; eight grandchildren, including Jeff and Dena Anderson and family of Longview; and eleven great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to Christ, love for his family, and a strong work ethic. Paul will be missed by all who knew and loved him, but will be welcomed by his parents and others who preceded him in death.
The memorial service will be at 4 p.m., on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at LCF Church at 2011 West Marshall. Interment in White Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., today, March 26, 2010, at Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
