Donald Francis Kurtzer, 84 years old of Antioch, IL, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at his home. He was born March 27, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late George Francis and Gladys Marcella (nèe Wroblewski) Kurtzer. Donald served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He later spent his career as a union sheet metal worker in Local 73 in Chicago from 1956 until he retired in 1996.

Donald is survived by is children, Donna Quarello, Darlene Prim, Diane (George) Marburger, Danette (John) Rumoro, George (Carole) Kurtzer; his thirteen grandchildren, John, Katie, Ryan, Lauren, Joseph, Megan, Hank, Jena, Ellie, Patrick, Natalie, Allyson, Andre; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Rosalia, and Penelope; his sister, Patricia (Ronald) Niemotka; and brother-in-law, Robert Kendzior; his many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially his Antioch family, John Ring, Sue Schulz, and Kim Holub and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George (Lil) Jennrich; his sisters, Dorothy (Walter) Gordon and Geri Kendzior; and his son-in-law, James Quarello.

Interment with Military Honors will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Arrangements were entrusted to the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, IL.
