Tom Ameche, widower of Pat Terry Ameche, died at age 80 at the VA Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late Don and Honore Prendergrast Ameche. He was a retired horse transporter, a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation, Paris, KY, and served his country in the U.S. Navy. Tom came to Kentucky to help train his father's horses that they had at the Gentry Farm.
He is survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law; 2 nephews; a sister; a brother, and nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ron Ameche and Larry Ameche, and a sister, Connie Ameche.
A memorial mass was conducted 27 Dec 2019 at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation, Paris, KY by Father Danny Fister. Inurnment followed in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Paris, KY. A gathering of family and friends took place 27 Dec until the hour of Mass at the church.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Bluegrass Care Navigators, Lexington, KY.
