HOMER M. GATLIN Homer M. Gatlin, 82, of La Combe, La., died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at the Louisiana Heart Hospital in La Combe. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel with interment in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Tate Russell will officiate. Mr. Gatlin was retired from Ancohor Packing Company where he had been a salesman. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a former member of Second Avenue Baptist Church in Laurel. Mr. Gatlin was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen James Gatlin. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Gatlin and David Kaiser of Hurley and Bonnie Gatlin and William H. Libbey of La Combe, La.; and his grandchildren, Daniel Ross Fiorella and Casey Laine Fiorella. Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
