Graveside services for Winona Watson, 82, of Palacios, were held July 1, 2003 at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing with the Revs. Andy Blair and Janell Blair officiating. Mrs. Watson was born April 14, 1921 in Crews, Tx. to the late Horace and Ella Bull Wood. She died June 27, 2003. She had been a resident of Palacios for the past 10 years and a former resident of Ballinger, Tx. She was a retired license vocational nurse. She is survived by her son, Adrian Watson of Palacios; sisters Nettie McMillan of Midland and Jean Heck of Evansville, Ind.; granddaughter Sherri Ellis and husband Jesse of Palacios; and great-granddaughter Adrian and Sean Ellis both Palacios. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aulden A. Watson; and sons William Jesse Watson and Michael Alfred Watson. Arrangements were with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
