DeEtte was born in 1943 in Grand Rapids, MN to Floyd and Georgia Pierce and graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1961. DeEtte and Marvin Beer were united in marriage on October 29, 1960 and together they raised their family and ran a dairy farm for 25 years. DeEtte also worked as an Itasca County home health aide for over 15 years. DeEtte loved to knit and crochet and passed her passion onto her family and two generations of young people through her countless hours of volunteering in the county 4-H program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Georgia Pierce; and two brothers, Floyd and John Pierce.
DeEtte is survived by her husband of 59 years, Marvin; son, Lee (Jane) Beer ; daughters: Tamara Beer Long, Irene (Mike) Schuder; brother, Larry (Judy) Pierce; sisters: Elaine Lewerenz, Corene (Victor) Cole; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery, Blackberry, MN at a later date.
