SHELLSBURG
Douglas B. Beck, 39, of rural Shellsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, in his home. Servies: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Donals Bruggerman. Burial: Shellsburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday after 9 a.m.
Survivors include his wife, Chris; two sons, Beau and Chauncey; and a daughter, Dana, all of Shellburg; his parents, Evelyn Cadle of Cedar Rapids, and Art Beck of Forsyth, Mo.; two brothers, Roger Beck of Shellsburg, and James Cadle of Griggsville, Ill.; and two sisters, Martha Paquin of Alton, Ill., and Susan Chancy of Jerseyville, Ill.
Also surviving are parents-in-law, Donald and Leveda Cain of Ottumwa.
Born Jan. 30, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, he married Christine Cain on Aug. 22, 1992, in Cedar Rapids. He owned and operated Beck's Trucking and was a member of Iron WOrkers Local 89.
Doug will always be remembered by his family and many friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
