Doris Walker Rolstad, 66, of Apalachicola, died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at her home in Apalachicola.

She was born on Dec. 25, 1952 to LaVere Walker and Thelma Lolley Walker. She was a graduate of Carrabelle High School and also attended Gulf Coast Community College. She married Royce S. Rolstad, Jr. on May 10, 1980 and served 38 years at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, studying the history of Franklin County, and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Royce S. Rolstad, Jr. of Apalachicola; her son, Royce S. Rolstad, III,; Royce Alexander Narine, grandson; sisters Marie Wimberly, Frances Harvey (Dean), Ethel Duggar (Buddy) and Rhonda Norred; brother Donnie Walker (Alethea); and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, LaVere and Thelma Walker, preceded her in death.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Apalachicola.
