Carol gained her Heavenly wings this past Friday, Dec 13, 2019. She was born to Clive and Buna (Stanberry) Meairs on March 25, 1945. The third of five children and the only daughter, she grew up with many protectors and in turn became the greatest protector to all she knew and loved.
Carol was blessed with her one and only baby boy on Oct 25, 1964. Pinkey, as he was nicknamed, was her greatest blessing in life. She would devote her entire world to him and was only able to fall in love and marry her best friend with Pinkey's blessing. Teddie J Moore won their hearts in 1977 and would eventually convince Carol and Pinkey to make it official. Carol and Ted were married on Aug 18, 1978 in Wichita, KS.
Carol has spent the last 9 years being the sole care provider to Ted after his stroke in 2010. She centered her life around caring for others, Ted, Pinkey and anyone else that expressed a need. Her love filled many hearts and her memory will live on in everyone she knew. She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Clive (Evie) and Dean (Marty) & sister in law Janet Meairs. Carol is survived by her loving husband Ted, son Don Klein (Angie), brothers Buck (Jayne), Jim (Becky). Grandchildren Bailey Klein, Beni (Chandler) Klein, Logan (Alexis) Ayer, George (Dalanie) Ayer, Anna Ayer and great-granddaughters Indra Lucine, Emry McKenzie, and many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 18th from 4-8PM with family present from 4-6PM with funeral services Thursday, Dec. 19th, at 2PM, both at Advantage Funeral & Cremation, located at 4408 W. Central, Wichita. A burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
