Gladys Aline Sanders age 75 of El Dorado passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Gladys was born on April 2, 1944 in Union County to the late Etta Frances Thurlkill Griffith and Donald W. Griffith. Gladys definitely had a green thumb and could grow most anything from flowers to any kind of vegetable. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and working on anything, arts and craft related. She was a good cook and especially enjoyed baking. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sandy Howell and a sister, Barbara Barker. Survivors include; one brother, John Griffith and wife Emily; three sisters, Ollie Goza and husband Robert, Sue Maness and husband Sterling, Donett Cottrell and husband Joel, all of Junction City; two granddaughters, Heather Litton, and Jessica Terry and husband Blaine all of Smackover; five great grandchildren, MaKenzie Litton, Billie Litton, Meagan Litton, Jalen Murry, and Jonah Murry, along with Joey Murry, whom is Jalen and Jonah’s father and with whom she was especially close to. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
