Born in Jenkinton, PA, he was a son of the late Albert E. and Pearl (Keiser) Hacker.
He was employed as an insurance broker for Nationwide Insurance for 48 years, owning and operating A. Floyd Hacker Insurance in Jeffersonville, PA, until his retirement in 1995.
Mr. Hacker was an active member of Central Presbyterian Church in Norristown for many years. He was a charter member of the Milford Township Fire Company, was a member of the Lehigh Consistory, the Masonic Lodge #190 of Norristown, the Frank C. Parker, Jr. and Son American Legion Post #901 in Jeffersonville, AMBUCS, and a lifetime member of the Jeffersonville Fire Company and the Milford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1. A U.S. Army veteran, he served his country during WWII.
He is survived by two sons: Gerald Gerhart and his wife Joan of Chalfont, PA, Donald Hacker and his wife Charlotte of Farmington, CT, two daughters: Gwendolyn Hacker of San Jose, CA, Jacquelyn Korbas and her husband Tom of North Attleboro, MA, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three brothers: Roland Hacker, Ray Hacker and his wife Agnes, Ernest Hacker, and three sisters: Betty Huber, Mary Shelly, and Janice Swartz.
Memorial Services will be held December 28 at 11 AM in the Luther Rose Chapel of the Lutheran Community at Telford, 12 Lutheran Home Drive, Telford, PA 18969. Interment will be private (West Swamp Mennonite Church Cemetery).
