A graveside service for Ruth E. Vandevender, 62, of Newark, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Mason officiating.
Mrs. Vandevender died Oct. 21, 2002, at the Arlington Nursing Home. She was born May 9, 1940, in Coshocton.
She is survived by her husband, Berlin Vandevender; daughter, Lisa Taylor of Newark; sons, Dan and David Spence, both of Newark; step-daughter, Ruth Bonham of Heath; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother; and six sisters.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
