Rites for Paul Silver (Pete) Browning, 67, of Louisville, a former resident of Danville for many years, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Stith Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Oakley will officiate with burial to follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
He died of an apparent heart attack at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at his residence. Mr. Browning grew up in Danville and worked at the Gilcher Hotel here. He later worked at the Kingsport Inn in Kingsport, Tenn., and was last employed as a chemical operator at the Goodrich plant in Louisville.
A member of the Beechmont Baptist Church in Louisville, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Daugherty Browning, formerly of Danville.
Other survivors include two sons, James William Browning of Lexington and Paul Silver Browning Jr. of Palo Alto, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Martens of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Charles Browning of Maywood, Rl.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday.
