She was a farmer, foster mother, and childcare provider who lived on the Stilwell farm in Pikeville her entire life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Winslow Chapter and Pikeville Church of Christ since the age of 12; and loved gardening.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Vaughn in 1991; her second husband, Ralph Saddler in 2013; her mother and father; stepmother, Wilma Stilwell; and sister-in-law, Joyce Stilwell.
She is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Edward) Peyronnin of Evansville, Nancy (Anthony) Schneider of Leesville, South Carolina, and Norma (Jeff) Hughart of Newburgh; six siblings, Richard “Ray” Stilwell of Petersburg, Berniece Luker of Pikeville, Roy (Margie) Stilwell of Otwell, Alethea (Ron) Henke of Jasper, Phyllis (Gene) Reinbold of Jasper, and Phillip (Lou Anne) Stilwell of Pikeville; dear friends and neighbors, Trent & Lisa Stinson and children; (8) grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Elliott, Lindsay (Tully) Bevilaqua, Sarah (Russell) Raines, Samantha Schneider, Drew (Sarah) Schneider, Laura (Brian) Liotti, Jeffrey (Dana) Kuhn, and Daniel (Jennifer) Kuhn; (10) great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Norma Irene Vaughn Saddler will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at the Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville, Indiana. Her brother Richard “Ray” Stilwell will officiate at the service. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the burial arrangements. No visitation will be held at the funeral hom
