Miss Helen Tinkham Dies Suddenly in Naples.


Miss Helen Tinkham, founder of the Boston flower mission and interested in numerous philanthropies, died suddenly Sunday at Naples, Italy. Accompanied by her sister, Miss Alice S. Tinkham, the artist, who was with her when she died, Miss Tinkham went abroad a year ago. They were expected to start for home next week.

Miss Tinkham was the daughter of Spencer and Sarah (Lincoln) Tinkham. She was born in Calais, Me. She made her home in Boston, usually spending the summer at Wianno, on Cape Cod. Mrs. Elliott Russell of Boston and Mrs. Winslow Warren of Dedham are sisters of the deceased.
