Senior Master Sgt. Adkins
Funeral services for retired Senior Master Sgt. Dayle A. Adkins, 67, of Sentry Oaks Dr., will be Saturday at the Magnolia Park Cemetery Mausoleum with full military honors. He died Wednesday in the Veterans hospital in Decatur following an extended illness. The Rev. Thomas Bernard will officiate.
Senior Master Sgt. Adkins, a native of Morrisonville, Ill., had lived in Warner robins since 1967, moving here from Albany. He was retired from the United States Air Force with 31 years of service. He was also a member of the Westside Baptist Church, D.A.V., Air Force Sergeants Assn. and the Moose Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace N. Adkins of Warner Robins; two sons, Herbert N. Adkins of San Francisco, Calif., and Jon K. Adkins of Warner Robins; two sisters, June Tooma of Temple Terrace, Fla., and Edna De Weese of Jasper, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Church Home for the Aged, located at 41 North, Perry, Ga. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today.
Christopher-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
