Mr. Austin passed away,Thursday, May 30, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Audrey Clanton Austin and the late Ernest Franklin Austin. He was a former employee of Springs Industries and a member of Abney Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, reading and puzzle books. Mr. Austin was also an avid Clemson fan.
Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, Betty Kiser Austin; a daughter, Jessica Austin Nunnery and her husband Jeremy Hancock Nunnery of Kershaw; a son, Scotty Edward Austin and his wife Kellie Austin of Lugoff; 4 grandchildren, Sophie Nunnery, Wes Nunnery, Jack Nunnery and Victoria Austin; 2 sisters, Janice Austin (Dick Tokunaga) of Lugoff, Charlotte McConnell (Lee) of Purlear, N.C. and 2 brothers, Steve Austin of Kershaw and Donnie Austin (Gwen) of Kershaw.
The family will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.
