Viola York-Nolen
Viola E. York-Nolen, nee Henthorn, 82, of Dupo, Ill., born Feb. 19, 1922, in Neelyville, Missouri., died Monday, June 7, 2004, at St. Anthony's Hospital, South St. Louis, Missouri.
Mrs. York-Nolen was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Dupo, Illinois, and attended Crossroad Trinity Church, East Carondelet, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lou, nee Holder, Henthorn; a daughter, Dorothy Moskodauz; and two grandchildren; Christina Renee Patterson and Derick Dickinson.
She is survived by two sons, David York and Gary York, both of Dupo, Illinois.; three daughters, Doris Miller of Dupo, Illinois, Peggy Patterson of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and Toni Marlen of Wichita, Kansas; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the donor's choice.
Visitation: Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Dashner Funeral Home, Dupo, Illinois.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Dashner Funeral Home, Dupo, Ill., with the Rev. Darrell Atkins and the Rev. Willis Clark officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Memorial Garden Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
