Pastor Roger E. Navarre GREEN BAY - Pastor Roger E. Navarre, 76, passed away Aug. 19 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Sturgeon Bay on Sept. 24, 1941, the son of Cyril and Katherine (Acker) Navarre. He graduated in 1959 from Sturgeon Bay High School and entered the U.S. Navy a short time later.

Following service stateside and in Vietnam, he returned home in 1963 and settled in Green Bay, where he worked as a machinist before launching a successful career as a salesman for the New York Life Insurance Co.

His other great love was for his three sons and their families. They include Steve Navarre, his wife, Amy, daughter Sarah and son Benjamin, all of Green Bay; Mike Navarre of Green Bay, daughter Lilly and son Liam; and Dave Navarre, wife Miann, daughter Maggie and son Will, all of Fox Point. Also surviving are Roger's nieces and nephews.
