Mrs. Biggerstaff was born Jan. 9, 1915, in Fremont, Neb. Her maiden name was Hill. A Portland resident for most of her life, she graduated from Grant High School in 1933. She was a longtime homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church. In 1935, she married Andrew; he died in 1996.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan Carhart of Portland; sons, Arthur and Albert, both of Portland; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to Oregon Public Broadcasting.
